Wike Replies People Who Complained About The Demolition Of The Prodest Hotel

The Governor of Rivers State, Nyesom Wike, had imposed a lockdown and directed all hotels in the state to suspend services immediately as parts of measures to check the spread of COVID-19.

The governor had said that any hotel(s) that violate the lockdown law will face demolition.

Many people have taken to their social media platform(twitter) to express dissatisfaction over the reaction of governor Wike.

Reacting to this, Nyesom Wike has taken to his verified twitter handle, to backed his reaction based on law of the state. According to him, “one thing I fail to understand is why we must attach emotions when expressly exercising what the law states”.

Wike added that, a law was passed in the state and people who break the law no matter who they are must feel the penalties that the law provides. The governor added that even if is a member of the People Democratic Party, PDP. Read Wike statement below.
