Deji Speaks On Churches, Mosques Reopening, Says Religious Leaders Should Set Up Testing Centres

Human Rights Activist, Deji Adeyanju has reacted over the call by religious leaders to reopen the place of worship in Nigeria.

According to Deji Adeyanju, who made this known via his twitter handle, said that religious leaders should set up testing centres instead of calling for opening of their Churches and Mosques.

He added that the cost to set up a COVID19 testing centre is less than N25m. Deji further said that Churches in particular can do it for less because there will be no corruption cost included.

Deji also complain bitterly that Nigeria as a country just have only 20 labs to test about 200 million people. The human rights activist added that if we had a working government, by now we should have over 2000 labs. Read Deji Adeyanju tweets below.

“My take in this story is simple: Religious leaders should be setting up testing centres instead of calling for opening of their churches and mosques”.

“It cost less than N25m to set up a COVID-19 testing centre. Churches in particular can do it for less because there will be no corruption cost included. Churches can set up these centres all across the country to make things easy for all Nigerians”.

“You may not know how much a failure a country is until you understand that there are only about 20 labs in the whole country for 200m people. If we had a Govt that works, we could have over 2,000 labs by now. Covid-19”.
